Asset Management in AxCMS.net 9.1

To be able to publish images in different channels a content management system has to offer a way how to handle different formats for a variation of publishing scenarios like HD-views in zoom applications, standard page images for internet articles, thumbnails for integrating in social networks like facebook, cover flow images to be used in flash and silverlight applications, 300DPI images for printouts and so on. AxCMS.net offers a revolutionary and high end automated functionality to e.g.:

• in customized predefined formats as well as a silverlight ribbon toolbar to adjust and
• edit images manually through the management interface.

The Image detail page will offer for each image format available an individual tab. Tabs also include properties and the original master file. New images are automatically formatted to the project specific predefined formats. User can change the formatting using scale in, scale out and rotate tools and also change the size of the formatted image within the limits predefined for each project. The fit button changes the image to the specified size. Undo button resets all user changes till the last save.

The new AxCMS.net Asset Management supports the saving of formatted images as separate documents, allows a preview, or live site preview. Usual content editor tools (navigation, categories, publish, etc) are also available for the original image.

The formatting is saved automatically when user changes tab or uses menu. Format tabs show different formats of a master image, and Original tab shows preview of the original master image.

Images & Placeholders for Internet Pages

Same crop, resize, rotate tools are available for images inserted in placeholder directly in content editor. Formatted images are saved specially for this placeholder.
